The traditional process of hand block printing on textiles has been practiced in Rajasthan for around 500 years. Whenever I visit Jaipur I always load up on block-printed fabrics, quilts and table linens. When I was last there, I picked up a couple of the hand-carved, wooden blocks they use for printing the fabrics. This elephant was stamped using one of those blocks, then intricately painted by hand. 5"x 3.25"
